If you are interested in the theatre, why not join us? We are always looking for new members and you don’t have to be an actor or director. There are plenty of opportunities to help backstage in sound, lighting, front of house, set-building, props, prompting as well as design and marketing skills. Informal play readings are held regularly, where any member can have a favorite play read or even take part yourself. Membership in the senior section is open to anyone over the age of 16. If there are enough applications from younger people, the junior section of the society will re-establish itself, with its own activities and tutor, as well as taking part in other society events, where appropriate. There is always the possibility for youngsters to take part in productions alongside the seniors, and get involved in live theatre. For those would do not wish to take an active role but would like to support our activities we offer Associate Membership which entitles you to join our social events, receive our newsletter and purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Annual Senior membership is £14 per member, Junior and Associate Members £7. |
